Serving Santa Barbara for more than 50 years

The 100-plus volunteers of Santa Barbara Meals on Wheels work together to deliver hot, nutritious meals daily to elderly, disabled and homebound clients throughout Santa Barbara. Our ready-to-eat meals are delivered around lunchtime and include a main dish, two vegetables, a starch, soup, salad, dessert and milk.​

Our History

Since 1971, we have delivered more than 2 million meals to our clients. Our volunteer drivers are on the road 365 days a year, making deliveries and brightening the days of their clients. For more than 30 years, Valle Verde Retirement Community has prepared our meals and worked with our team to ensure that we provide healthy and tasty meals.

Our team

Volunteers are the backbone of Santa Barbara Meals on Wheels. Throughout the year, more than 100 volunteers have a hand in managing daily pickups and delivering meals. Our Volunteer Coordinator and Office Administrator keep the daily wheels turning for drivers and clients. And our board members volunteer their time to manage our finances, operations, fundraising and grant writing. ​
